We have low level walks including an all ability trail taking in plenty of sculpture and pretty views of the Grizedale valley, but also more strenuous walks taking you to the highest point in Grizedale with spectacular degree views of the Lake District fells.
A map showing walking trails in the forest can be obtained from the information centre. I traveled from the US to see the sculptures at this location.
As the crow flies, Grizedale Tarn is only about half a grizefale from the Visitor Centre, but the walking trail goes there by a more circuitous route. Now the sculptures are mostly gone a few, more hardy ones can still be found, like treasure in the forestbut you have to head for wslks more remote areas to get any peace, as the centre is a noisy irritation of “Go Apers” and mountain bikers often failing to stay on the marked bike trails.
