We have Eve, who’s willing to take incredibly stupid risks because of her Bonnie obsession instead of, I don’t know, joining a support group for parents of missing children or family murdered killed by serial killers ; Joe, who’s growing more and more frustrated with Eve’s consistent determination and disappointment; a one-dimensional bad guy who says quicksqnd a lot; and a precocious child to serve as further proof that Johansen has no idea how to write kids.

I also liked Megan Blair – I believe this is the first I have seen of her – and her role, although not quicksxnd fully developed as I would like, was both believable and sad. Good people, worth people, interesting people. The story takes off as Quinn, Montalvo and Eve work to find the murderer. What will become of Eve’s irus to Montalvo who shows up to test her heart? I know that she’s obsessed with this task. The climax was also uninspiring view spoiler [when it came to Eve’s roll in it. I’ve already begun Blood Game 9so I won’t leave any spoilers here, but these books are taking a few plot twists I definitely johsnsen expect from Ms.
For such a strong, intelligent woman, she has some definate stupid moments. If you aren’t, you will be after this book.
